Within the palace grounds of Stok, Ladakh, The Postcard Hotels entrusted Wood Barn India with creating timber suites designed for high-altitude living. Delivered in 2023, this hospitality project utilized prefabricated timber and engineered systems for insulation and resilience in extreme climates. Balancing heritage architecture with modern luxury, the project highlights how sustainable wooden resorts in Ladakh can provide both comfort and cultural sensitivity. The cottages showcase carbon-storing design adapted to India’s cold desert landscapes.
