Durrand, Assam (2021)

At Durrand Tea Estate in Sonitpur, Assam, The Postcard Hotels partnered with Wood Barn India to create boutique wooden cottages set among rolling tea gardens. Completed in 2021, this hospitality project used prefabricated timber systems and glulam beams to withstand humid climates while delivering comfort and elegance. The cottages offer guests intimate, sustainable stays that connect with the heritage of the region. It demonstrates how timber construction can bring both luxury and eco-consciousness to Northeast India.
