Founded in 2006 by visionary entrepreneur Mr. Sanjay Sharma, Wood Barn India was born from a simple belief: that homes and resorts could be sustainable, modern, and built to last for generations.
In the early years, we introduced India to prefabricated wooden villas and cottages, setting a new benchmark for eco-friendly living. By 2016, we took a transformative leap forward by establishing our own state-of-the-art production facility, equipped with glue-lamination, tongue & groove, and finger-jointing technology. This enabled us to create fully bespoke timber structures with unmatched precision, strength, and architectural freedom.
Since then, we have grown into a trusted partner for luxury wooden villas, premium homes, and world-class eco-resorts across India. Every project is designed and built in-house — from concept to completion — using only PEFC-certified timber sourced from responsibly managed forests.
Why timber? Because it is sustainable, versatile, and strong enough to rival traditional materials while weighing far less. Most importantly, timber construction reduces carbon emissions, making every Wood Barn project a meaningful step towards a greener tomorrow.

2006

WBI is Founded

Wood Barn India is established, introducing premium log cabin kits to India’s leisure sector. Early hospitality projects include Ibni Spa Coorg, Tamara Coorg, and Club Mahindra Ashtamudi.

2009 – 2014

Government Projects

Expanded into state tourism and public infrastructure with eco-conscious timber construction.

2015

Global Tie-Up & Production Facility

Partnered with RantaSalmi; established a 50,000 sq. ft. production facility with advanced timber technology.

2016 – 2020

Bespoke Timber Resorts

Delivered custom villas and resorts for Taj Ama Trails, Royal Orchid, Isprava, Postcard Hotels, and Radisson.

2021 – 2023

Refining Our Craft

Doubled team with project managers, architects, 3D artists, and site engineers; adopted Revit & K3 Production Software for precision.

2024 – Ongoing

Diversification & Global Outlook

Launched pre-fabricated villa kits, DIY sauna kits, lifestyle timber solutions, and expanded exports.
